FAQs

Changing electricity supplier, even with debt to the previous one, is free. Therefore, you can look for a more economical electricity supply plan for your home or business without paying a withdrawal clause to the previous supplier.

If there are unpaid debts, the previous supplier informs the competent administrator and the latter informs the customer or the new supplier, if he represents the customer. To complete the switching process, he must proceed with one of the following actions:

  • to pay off his debts
  • to proceed with a settlement of the overdue debts with the old supplier
  • to ask the new supplier to accept the assumption of the debt in question

The consistency discount is essentially a reward for consumers who pay their household or business electricity bills on time. It is based on consumption, so the more you consume, the more you need the consistency discount.

The consistency discount on electricity refers to net consumption and not the amount that results from adding taxes, fees, etc. It is not specific or fixed, because each company sets a different percentage.

The cost of electricity at home is a significant burden on the budget, and therefore any discount is very important. The same applies to electricity for businesses, where consumption is greater.

The consistency discount is not lost, even if the bill is paid on the due date and its payment is considered on time. Many suppliers provide discounts only on settlement bills and in proportion to the days of consumption and the duration of the contract.

At RevmaGreece we recommend providers for cheap electricity, which apply the consistency discount from the very first bill.

Every euro counts for this, choose a supplier that offers you economical electricity and rewards you for your consistency with a discount on your bill. The proposal for changing electricity supplier from RevmaGreece includes a consistency discount from the very first bill and without interruption.

So choose the provider now for really cheap gas and electricity in your home or business, with the help of RevmaGreece energy consultants

Changing electricity and natural gas providers is now a very simple process. Specifically:

New connection or reconnection: the power supply will be provided within 3-5 business days from the submission of the supporting documents.
Change of provider for residential customers or small business premises that are already electrified: the change will be made no later than 10 days.
Change in large business supplies: the meter will be checked by a DEDDIE employee. If it is a new connection or reconnection of electricity, then the power supply is expected within 3-5 business days from the submission of the supporting documents.
For changing the natural gas provider in the business or at home, up to three weeks are required from the date of signing the Supply Contract, in accordance with the procedures of the competent Distribution Network Operator (EDA).

Don't worry about changing your gas provider. Domestic gas is provided securely by the Gas Distribution Network Operator and there will be absolutely no interruption. The same applies to changing your commercial gas supplier.

The network operator also ensures uninterrupted power supply for your home and business during the process of changing your electricity provider.

The process of changing your natural gas supplier at home will not cost you anything, as there is no clause for withdrawing from your natural gas supplier. Also, no conversion to the meter or the domestic or commercial gas system is required to switch to another supplier.

An exception is made if the Supply Contract contains special terms for the minimum validity period and the compensation due, if the contract is terminated by the customer, or by the supplier due to the customer’s default in paying his debts and before the minimum period has expired.

The price of a kilowatt-hour for a business or home is not fixed and even changes every month. The price announced by each natural gas provider includes taxes and the amount of the state subsidy announced by DEPA.

The consumption bill includes:

  • Supply charges / competitive
  • Regulated charges
  • Other charges - Taxes: VAT 13%, RAE Remunerative Fee, Special Consumption Tax, Special Fee 5 0/00, Security of Supply Fee

The element that significantly shapes the amount of the bill is the charges. Specifically, at RevmaGreece we ensure gas providers for our customers who have a clear pricing policy and this is applied to actual consumption. This means that the customer only pays for what he consumes, without being charged additional charges.

Electricity providers follow a bimonthly billing schedule for low-voltage customers such as homes, shops and small businesses. The first bill, which covers the first two months of the electricity plan, is issued as a “counter” bill, while the second two-month bill is issued after receiving a reading and is a settlement bill.

The first bill you will receive after activating your natural gas plan will include the deposit. Natural gas companies initially charge an amount as a counter to the bill, until they carry out the first measurement.

The amount of the guarantee at the start of the contract is likely to differ from one electricity company to another and from one natural gas provider to another. The guarantee is a sum of money, as security for future debts, arising from the Natural Gas Supply Contract. Its amount is proportional to the estimated energy consumption.

To avoid the guarantee, activate the standing order for the payment of the bills.

Both gas and electricity companies are required to return your deposit, provided you have no outstanding debts. Usually, the deposit is offset against your bill, which is reported as final.

Bills for home gas are issued monthly, with the exception of the summer season. This is because gas companies do not bill for household services in the months of May, July, August and September. Bills for commercial gas are issued on a monthly basis.

With the help of RevmaGreece, proceed to a new connection, where billing is based on your actual consumption, as described by the provider.

The adjustment clause almost doubled bills when it was imposed due to a large change in the cost of electricity from the wholesale market. The amount of the clause is determined by the cost of electricity production and international prices.

However, there are differences depending on which color of the invoice you choose:

Green invoices are semi-floating and semi-fixed and include an adjustment clause. They have a locked price from the beginning of each month, which means that sudden changes in wholesale market prices do not immediately affect the final bill. On the other hand, in yellow floating ones the price is low and is mainly determined by the energy market and not by the adjustment clause.

On the contrary, with the blue invoice, which is fixed, you may have higher prices, but it does not have an adjustment clause, so you know what you will pay, without unpleasant surprises.

RevmaGreece's energy consultants recommend a tariff color and providers that suit your needs and are truly beneficial to you.

It is important to secure now the electricity and gas plan for your business or household that will not include this surcharge that will blow your budget.
